  • Position Summary

    This position is key to the firm and will require working closely with managers, staff, partners and clients, involving a wide breadth of responsibility.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Performing, completing and helping with reviews and compilation engagements.

    • Completing GST and PST returns, personal tax returns, corporate tax returns, partnership and trust returns.

    • Supporting bookkeeping and interim financial reporting processes.

    • Performing various tax and accounting standards research and maintaining a strong knowledge base.

    • Communicating directly with clients, CRA and identifying additional service opportunities.

    Required Attributes

    This position is best suited to a well-rounded candidate with Canadian experience in a mid-size firm, who possesses excellent oral and written communication skills. This role is ideal for an individual with 2-4 years’ experience who is eager to contribute to a team that prides themselves in delivering high-quality work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

    Required Education and Experience

    • University degree or diploma an asset

    • Experience working through entire engagements

    • Experience working directly with clients

    • Exposure to corporate and personal Canadian Tax issues

    • Experience working with CaseWare, Tax Cycle and QuickBooks Online

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary:  Commensurate with experience

    • Schedule: Negotiable

    • Vacation: 3 weeks plus all statutory holidays and firm designated days off
